DESCRIPTIONS
Brat Fry
This committee has two chairpersons
involved in organizing the sale, which is held in May. All committee
members are to help work at the brat fry held at Hoff's Red Owl parking
lot in Brownsville. This fund-raisers generally set up in-groups consisting
of set-up crew, morning servers, afternoon servers and a clean-up crew.
All CCLT families are required to bring baked goods for the bake sale.
Charity Auction
The two chairpersons of this
committee work closely with auctioneer Ken Schoebel. The sale takes
place at the Theresa School Hall the first Sunday in March. Tasks assigned
to committee members include soliciting items from local businesses,
picking up sale items donated by individuals if needed and sorting and setting up merchandise
the day before the auction. On Sunday committee members help with the
sale, as well as serve food and beverages during the auction and clean
up after the sale is complete.
Christmas Cookie Walk
Two people chair this committee.
This sale is generally held the second weekend in December. The committee
assignments include advertising for the sale, set-up and decorating
of the hall, serving during the sale, cashiering, and clean up. ALL
CCLT FAMILIES are required to contribute an amount of cookies/candies
set by the committee for this sale. A $30 fee will be charged to those
who are unable to bake cookies/candies. It is important that you sign
in your cookie donation so that you receive credit or you will
be charged the fee.
Rebating/Refunding
This group prepares store receipts
for submission to Piggly Wiggly in order to receive a percentage
of funds donated to the school.
They also take care of the Campbell's Soup Program, Box Tops For
Education, Ink Cartridges,
and Milk Caps as well as any other refunding programs that may occur.
SCRIP Program
The Scrip program consists
of three chairpersons. They take care of scheduling, promotions and
newsletters, balancing financial statements and insuring that things
run smoothly. The committee workers consist of three teams with the
first working Monday mornings for 2-3 hours to gather and submit the
weekly order. The second team works on Wednesday to sort the bulk Scrip
orders and prepare them for family folders or church pick up. This also
takes 2-3 hours. The third team consists of individuals who sell Scrip
certificates before and after all weekend masses.
Avon Sale
The chairperson for this event
is Amy Ries who is an Avon representative. This sale will take place
in November. The committee consists of two or three people to help her
in distributing orders at the end of the sale as well as any other assistance
she may require.
Comedy Night
Every year we host a comedian
along with a light buffet. This committee consists of two to three
people. They take care of advertising, booking the comedian, and
organizing the light buffet.
Raffle
This committee consists of
two or three chairpersons. This is run in conjunction with our
Auction. These committee members are in charge of collecting donations,
printing the tickets, and organizing any sales after church or throughout
the committee.
